“If you are thinking of moving abroad and working as a teacher, this is a great place to start. The writing style is light and easy to follow, so it doesn’t matter if you don’t know an adjective from an adverb. I liked the fact that it deals with practical stuff, such as how to get a TEFL certificate and understand grammar, but it also has lots of anecdotes about what it’s really like inside a classroom, and how you deal with 40 teenage boys on a Monday morning. A lot of books just do one or the other.”
